Petite 18 inch reproduction fancy Parian royal lady doll. This 17 inch doll is porcelain head shoulder-plate, arms and lower legs in pale unglazed bisque with opalescent glass on her crown, hair nets and feet. She has gold highlighting and ruby rhinestones in the crown with emerald rhinestone in the center. Her muslin body fashion type (large hips thighs with small waist).
She wears a gown in claret red, silk velvet, lined in satin, satin bodice with antique metallic threads woven fabric at each pleat and waist sash (like tapestry fabric) also sporting antique lace. Brass old symbol accents on her necklace and bodice. She has antique glass eyes and antique pin-tucks slip. She is a one of a kind artist doll about 33 years old. She is In good condition (no breakage or cracks). defects noted. Dress has some condition flaws - On one sleeve the lace edges do not meet all the way around, the silver metallic threads have tarnished in the antique fabric letting me know these are probably real silver and gold metallic threads. There is a line of stiffness under the bow in back with some thread I think something was sewn there and possibly glued or starched.
