Astatic T-up9 microphone Chrome.
This Microphone came to Me missing the head and mast! So, the mast was replaced using a 1950’s F-stand mast for a GTT delete, (no key bar on mast)! This Mic is now PTT only, (key on base only)!
The DN-HZ head is from the 1950’s as well! This is evident by the metal, riveted on head badge, which was used prior to the 60’s! The head was DOA when it came to me! So, I used a modern Dynamic element to resurrect this nice chrome head from the dead!
I think the custom touches, using pieces from the 50’s on a base from the 70’s brought together a really nice, one of a kind mic! I hope you will agree!?
Mic element is highly sensitive and will pick up audio from 10-12 inches away! So, no need to get up close to this to be heard!
All components in the Mic base were gone through! Cleaned key switch, new potentiometer, electrolytic capacitor, wiring was cleaned up as well! Transmits very well with power pot at 1/2!
This has been assembled using older, vintage pieces! So, there are some scratches and tiny bumps on the chrome base, and some wear marks on the chrome head! It is still a great looking, and sounding Mic! Wired standard 4pin, but can change to work on your Radio prior to shipping! Just message Me after purchase with your Radios model info!
Returns within 10 days will be refunded after inspection to make sure there’s been no tampering, nor altering of any kind! I do paint mark, and photograph every Mic for comparison in case of returns! Shipped USPS Priority!
