    Description

    Welcome to my ebay store:
This is ONE of TWO Emma Clear Doll SHOULDER HEADS I am listing this week. HEAD ONLY. Not a full doll.
THIS head is a TOTAL WOW that is IMPOSSIBLE to find anywhere, like the other head I have listed.
They both came from an antique doll collector's estate I bought a long time ago and I just have so little time to make bodies, as I am repairing dolls for clients and I'm swamped.
This 'TODDLER' head as I have seen it called, is a beautifully colored bisque head with some matte glazing on the hair only. I did research to find out who this was based on and found ONLY ONE site that has twins of this doll, belonging to a collector. I believe the head was based on an antique ABG china head design.
This doll head was made in 1945 by the Famous doll maker EMMA CLEAR who is more popular than ever.
It appears to NEVER have been attached to a body!
(See my other listing, a LADY doll head, with a spectacular Updo of elaborate braids with a beautiful Dresden flower embellishment).  Also like new no body and she is also marked 1945 Clear).
This has been referred to as the girl with the curl in her forehead (or boy)!
See photos for measurements and BODY size you would need to fit proportionally to the width and depth of the shoulder head. The shoulder plate is around 4" across left to right as you look at her from front, and just under 3" deep (front to back) which is helpful when determining body size at shoulder area for attaching the shoulder head. This has some weight to it, unlike the lady doll head which is a bit smaller and lighter. This has the heft of a china head so it needs the appropriate body type.
If I was NOT so busy with doll repairs (I seem to be the main Doll doc in CO SPRINGS now) I would make this child a body and dress him/her up. As you can see the hairstyle allows this to be dressed as either a boy or girl which is really neat.
The head will be well padded and floated in peanuts for protection during shipment.
    Insured full value as always.
Check back as I will be listing an amazing Vintage probably 1940s or 50s rare POLLY MANN parian Dagmar type lady doll. She was active I believe around the same time as Emma Clear. That is a super nice doll with body that is immaculate.
From a site call the doll remembers when, I found a great photo of this head made into a doll, actually TWO of these heads made into boy and girl twins! I am attaching a picture of the doll with a body for your reference. Here is a little blurb from their site
Little Girl with a Curl is immediately recognizable as a replica of an antique doll as many similar ones exist.  This Emma Clear doll seems to emulate the dolls made by ABG - Alt, Beck and Gottschalck - a picture of which is included in the slideshow for these dolls.  Our little girl has soft molded curls around her entire head with one large curl in the front.  Although this doll is most often presented as a little girl, it seemed to us that there is no reason that one couldn't conceivably be thought of as a little boy, and with that in mind, please allow us to present "the twins".
Please see all photos for condition, coloring, size etc. And a reminder that this listing is ONLY for a DOLL HEAD no body.
Thanks for stopping in! Do follow my store, as I am downsizing a BIG doll collection, and it takes time to create these listings what with all my repair clients now. Any questions, message me!
Thanks for positive feedback, which is always reciprocated. ALL items ship from my smoke free home. SAME day as payment received if USPS is open!
